About Bonnie Krims

BONNIE KRIMS is a professional colorist specializing in architectural color design. Bonnie Krims Color Studio has been serving clients all over the country for the past thirty years. Her approach has been to recognize human reactions to color, and to provide her clients with colors that create happiness and a positive emotional outcome.

She is an Accredited Color Consultant/Designer of the International Association of Color Consultants (IACC).

Bonnie holds a Master's Degree in Fine Arts. Her early work in painting decorative furniture and interiors led to a career as a professional color consultant and color book author. "The Perfect Palette" was the first book on the market to help people choose paint colors for their homes. It was all about evoking emotions in order to personalize the paint color selection process.

Opportunities arose for television, radio, and writing for magazines. Her company expanded nationally with color consulting work being generated from all over the country. Her books have been published in multiple languages and sold internationally.

She has appeared on popular Home and Garden television shows, including the PBS series THIS OLD HOUSE® where she served as Color Consultant for several projects. Her work has been featured in publications including Alternative Medicine, Better Homes and Gardens, Renovation Style, Women’s Day, Good Housekeeping, This Old House, The Boston Globe, The Chicago Tribune, The Washing Post and The Christian Science Monitor.
